DerilBTC Group is launching a group of businesses, and we are looking for the person who will introduce them to Cameroon. Not a poster. Not an assistant to a marketing team. The person who decides how we sound, what we make, and who we reach - and then goes and does it.
If you have been waiting for a role where your ideas actually go out into the world instead of into a folder, read on properly. This one is unusually open.
Our established business is digital finance: we buy and sell Bitcoin and USDT against XAF for customers across Cameroon. It works, it has customers, and it needs a real voice.
Around it we are launching a group of everyday convenience businesses:
These are brands with no audience yet. No followers, no tone of voice, no first campaign. Somebody gets to create all of that, and then watch it turn into real customers walking through a real door. We would like that to be you.
You will work in English. Some of our audience is francophone, so working French is a genuine advantage.
You get real ownership. There is no marketing manager above you. Your ideas do not need three approvals. You decide, you make, you publish.
You manage your own time. Hybrid and flexible. Most of the work happens from home, on your schedule. We do not count hours and we will not ask you to log them.
We pay for the tools. 10,000 FCFA every month for the data this job runs on, from your first month. An iPhone 17E allocated to the role once you are confirmed.
We invest in you. A professional course, assigned and paid for by us, during your first three months.
You grow with what you build. We are a small company launching several brands at once. Pay here moves with results, there are performance and milestone bonuses on top, and we would far rather advance the person already doing the work than recruit above them. The person who builds these audiences is the obvious person to lead marketing across the group as it expands.
Your work is visible. In a company this size there is no layer between what you make and the customer who sees it. That is rare, and for the right person it is the whole appeal.
We would rather be straight with you about the pace, because it is the part people underestimate.
This rhythm is how the job is measured. We do not track your hours - we look at what goes out and what it achieves. That is written into the offer, and it is what confirmation is assessed on. It is a demanding pace and it is also a clear one: you always know exactly where you stand, and nobody is going to judge you on anything else.

This role needs a self-starter, genuinely. Working from home means nobody is standing behind you. If you are at your best when someone sets your tasks each morning, you would not enjoy this, and we would rather say so up front than have either of us find out the hard way.
On other work: we do not require this to be the only thing you do. Hold another job, run your own thing, stay in school - that is your business and we will not ask you to drop it. You manage your own hours. What we care about is that the rhythm above is met and these brands actually grow. Judge yourself against that, not against hours.

We are an early-stage group and these are early-stage numbers - we would rather show you them plainly than have you find out at offer stage. What we can promise honestly is that they move with results, and quickly.
Three months, and you will always know where you stand. To be confirmed:
We will sit down with you at week six and tell you plainly how it is going, so nothing at the end is a surprise. Either side can end the engagement during this period under the Labour Code, and if it is not working we will say so directly and pay you to your last day.
